Helsinki is the capital of Finland. It is located on the shores of the Baltic Sea, in Southern Finland. The population of Helsinki is about 650000 people, which makes it the largest city in Finland. In total, the metropolitan area of Helsinki has about 1,48 million people when the adjacent areas of Espoo and Vantaa are included. The most popular sights are Suomenlinna, Tuomiokirkko, Eduskunta (the parliament) and the Central Railway Station.
